My name is Tina, and I’m a 3D artist. I graduated from University of California, Davis, majoring in Exercise Biology, minoring in Nutrition and Art Studio. My interest in art and wanting to use it for education peaked after college, the idea culminated into getting a certificate in 3D Game Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I thought that games would be a good medium for educating others, as well as entertainment. Right now, I am making a game with my school’s chapter of IGDA (International Game Developers Association). I am experienced in 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, CrazyBump, and know a bit of Flash. I can create concept arts, model low to mid-poly characters, environmental assets and props, paint textures, make UV maps, Unwraps, animate, lighting, and rendering. I am currently learning ZBrush.
My ultimate goal is to specialize in character design and modeling. Currently, as my IGDA group’s 3D modeling lead, I manage and mentor fellow students in the game’s modeling aspects. In addition to these duties, I design, model, and animate characters and assets needed for the game. I created my group’s current game design document and co-lead with another member on weekly meetings to discuss updates, ideas, and current and potential future problems of our game.
